My name is Iftakhar. I have a lot of dreams. When I was a kid my dream is to be a pilot, and as the time goes by, I have other dreams, sometimes, I want to be a president, an army, doctor and other interesting dreams. But now I have grown up, now I know what I want to be.<br /><br />Now, I almost finish my studies in university. I will obtain Bachelor of Science Information. After I graduate, I want to work in one of the biggest oil company such as Chevron, Petronas, Exxon, etc. I want to be the staff manager or manager at least. I prefer working offshore because it gives me challenge to work over there plus they will pay me higher than work in the office.<br /><br />All of this is just the beginning of my dreams. After I work for 4 or 5 years, i will have a lot of money by that time, i will quit my job and start a business. I will buy 3 or 4 shops and run my shops and have another business such as futsal court or restaurant and anything that have a good prospect. By that way I will make more money comparing than I work in the company.<br /><br />After I run my business, I am going to marry a beautiful woman. I will start to make a family and planned to have 2 children which are a boy and a girl. I will live in a big house which having a garden outside or maybe a pool so my children can play inside my yard because, if my children play outside, it will be a little risky. I just don’t want anything bad to happen to my family. And maybe if I have spare money, I want to take my family to Makkah for ’umrah’ or ‘hajji’.<br /><br />I think that is all I can say about my dreams. anything bad to happen to my family. And maybe if I have spare money, I

A
 railway station is a halting place for the trains. At present, railway 
station are quite common in India. There are a number of railway 
stations by the sides of the railways.</div>
<div align="justify">
But all the
 stations are not of equal size. Some are very small and some are very 
big. Some are of mediocre type. The big-sized stations are very small in
 number. They are situated generally at the railway junctions, the 
capital towns and the commercial centers.</div>

<div align="justify">
The
 special features of a big railway station are a row of buildings for 
the railway office room, waiting rooms,, police station, mail-service, 
restaurants, book-stalls, the railway platforms with sheds overhead, the
 railway over bridges, the railways bells and the railway signal posts.</div>

<strong><br /></strong></div>
<div align="justify">
In
 the railway office buildings we see the stationmaster's office, the 
assistant stationmaster's office, the enquiry office, the office of the 
goods-clerk, the office of the booking clerk and the office of the 
time-keepers. In the booking office, there is a window through which the
 passengers purchase the tickets.</div>
<div align="justify">
In the railway 
station there are two grades of waiting rooms for the passengers. The 
upper class waiting-room is meant  for the upper class ticket holders. 
The lower class waiting room is meant for the lower class 
ticket-holders.</div>
<div align="justify">
The railway station holds a 
police-station inside it. The railway police personnel are there to 
check the crimes within a certain jurisdiction on the railways. The 
railway station provided the regular mail service which is known as 
R.M.S. The Railway restaurant provides meals and refreshments at the 
rates fixed by the Government. There are book-stalls in the railway 
station.</div>
<div align="justify">
The railway platform is made of chips and
 mortar. It is raised quite close to the door-still of the railway 
bodies. Hence, the passengers find it easy to get in and get down the 
train. In the big station, we find more than one platform. In New York 
there stands the biggest railway station of the world. This station 
holds as many as forty-seven railway-platforms.</div>
<div align="justify">
There
 are a fixed number of signal-posts at the two ends of the railway 
station. There is a small bar at the top-end of each signal post. When 
this bar keeps horizontal, a train does not come in or go out. This bar 
turns down to allow a train inside or outside the station. This is of 
course the day-time arrangement. At night, the signal-posts control the 
trains by their red yellow and blue lights fixed at their heights. The 
railway-bell rings to show that the lines are clear or the train is out 
or the train comes in. The railway station provides licensed coolies and
 hawkers for the convenience of the Railway passengers.</div>
<div align="justify">
Outside
 the Railway Station, spots have been earmarked for parking of buses, 
taxis, rickshaw and bicycles. Near about we find the residential 
quarters of the employees. There are club-house, lawns, parks 
playground, dispensary and schools too, for the Railway men employed at 
the station.</div>

<div align="justify">
It
 is pity the lower class waiting-room is always dirty. It is more due to
 the dirty habits of the lower class passengers than to the negligence 
of the Railway authority. So, the passengers should look to the neatness
 of the waiting rooms. When the trains come in with passengers, the 
station gets very noisy, people struggle against one another to get in 
and get down the compartments. Women, children, the old and the sick 
suffer a lot. Hence, we all should maintain proper discipline inside the
 station.</div>

Rabindranath
 has said in one of his later poems that the railway icon show that this
 our world is the handiwork of a painter, not that of a blacksmith or 
artisan. A railway station is one of the features of modern 
civilisation. It is a place which helps railway passengers to get down 
from or board a train. Here passengers as well as goods and luggages are
 booked. Every railway station is provided with a time-chart for the 
arrival and departure of trains. It has its staff or officers including 
the station-master. The porters help passengers with their luggages.<div style="text-align: justify;">
Railway
 stations differ in size and importance; there are terminal stations 
like Howrah, Sealdah; junctions like Asansol and halt stations, like 
Bidhan Nagar. Some have a single platform which can receive only one 
train at a time. A junction has several platforms, with over-bridges.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The
 bigger stations have waiting rooms for all classes or passengers; 
restaurants, loudspeaker system to announce arrival of trains and 
platforms to touch. Usually the atmosphere is quiet and even sleepy when
 trains are off. But with the arrival of a train the station suddenly 
bursts into life. Passengers quit about, porters hurry forward, carrying
 loads of luggages; hawkers shout their wares in various tunes.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The
 ticket-checkers, the guard, move about in doing their functions. And 
then the train leaves, and the station once more is quiet. The railway 
station occupies an important place in the economy of the modern India. 
For a long-distance journey a railway train is perhaps the safest and 
certainly the cheapest of transport that is available to all. Trains run
 to carry food where their is shortage, to bring together people living 
in distant parts of the country closer to each other. Without these, 
life in a modern society is almost unthinkable.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
A
 railway station exercises a strange fascination on all of us. Children 
gaze with wide-eyed wonder as a railway engine puffs its way into the 
station as did Apu and Durga in 'Pather Panchali'. Grown-up people, 
particularly in the country-side, gather on the platform to greet the 
incoming or see off out-going passengers.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I
 love to visit a railway station to have a sight of the multitude of men
 and women that crowd the platform; some alighting from the train; 
others get into it for a journey. What a busy scene it is; and what a 
rich variety is offered to our sight.</div>

Students
 of schools and colleges generally go on excursions every year. They 
select places of historical and scientific interest to visit. Those 
going to Delhi will not miss to visit Agra and see the Taj Mahal. At 
Agra besides the Taj Mahal they can also seen the Agra Fort and 
Fathepuri Sikri which was for some time the capital of Moghul Emperor, 
Shahjahan.<div style="text-align: justify;">
Taj Mahal is one of the 
seven wonders of the world. It has both historical as well as cultural 
value. It is built on the banks of the river Jamuna. Taj Mahal was built
 by the Moghul Emperor Shahjahan as a mausoleum of his beloved wife 
Arjmand Begum popularly known as Mumtaz Mahal, who died in 1630 A.D.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Taj
 Mahal is an architectural beauty which is beyond description. It is a 
work of Indian architects - both Muslims and Hindus. The mausoleum with 
its allied gardens and the building complex measures 1400 feet x 1000 
feet and is in the form of a rectangle. It is enclosed by a high wall 
surmounted by four arcaded marble pavilions at each one of the four 
corners. As one enters he is flanked by arched apartments and red stone 
building structures. The main gate is a red stone structure of very 
great architectural value. Its facade contains beautiful calligraphic 
descriptions in Arabic. After one passes the main gate one enters the 
well-laid out garden with marble pathways, water course and fountains. 
Before the visitor, stands the beautiful marble mausoleum.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The
 principal mausoleum stands again on a rectangular platform built in 
marble with a plinth area of 22 square feet. The mausoleum proper is 
square in shape. The main dome which rises to a height of 108 feet from 
the base platform is of pure white marble. On each of the four domes of 
the platform there is a minaret covered by "Kiosk". The central dome 
towers all these cupolas. It is said that it took 22 years to complete 
the whole structure and that it cost then three crores of rupees. The 
construction of this central dome itself is said to have taken 12 years.
 Besides white marble about twenty varieties of precious stones are said
 to have been used in the decoration and inlay work of the Taj Mahal.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Some
 claim that Europeans were involved in building it. But this is now 
rejected and historians confirm that Taj Mahal was built completely by 
Indians. The chief designer is said to be Ustad Ahmad Lahori. Maktrramat
 Khan and Mir Abdul Quasim are stated to be its architects. Ismail Khan 
Rumi is the maker of the central dome. Both Muslim and Hindus had 
contributed their best in building this beautiful monument.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Shahjahan
 was a builder par-excellence. He had inherent zest for beautiful 
architecture. His regime was the golden period for architecture. He was 
responsible for building the Red Fort at Delhi, with its beautiful. 
Diwan-e-Am and Diwan-e-Khas. The Moti Masjid at Agra and the Jama 
Masjid, a beautiful red stone structure at Delhi are his contributions. 
Taj Mahal is the best of the monuments, man has ever built. Though built
 as a mausoleum for the beautiful queen, Taj Mahal stands and speaks 
unquestionably the glory and taste of Shahjahan and his inordinate love 
for his wife. In the interior, in the middle of the structure, right 
below the massive dome lie the mortal remains of the queen, Mumtaz, in a
 peaceful and serene atmosphere.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The 
Taj Mahal on a full-moon night, looks like pure white pearl, a sight 
that cannot be seen elsewhere in the world. The Taj is a thing of beauty
 and a thing of beauty is a joy forever.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When
 the President of U.S.A. Bill Clinton visited the Taj Mahal in March 
2000, he was bowled by its beauty. Before visiting the Taj Mahal, he 
said there are two types of people in the world - those who saw Taj 
Mahal and those who didn't. It is reckoned as one of the seven wonders 
of the world. </div>

 country where I live in is Bangladesh. It’s a small but density 
populated country. About 135 million of people live within its 147570 
square kilometers area. It got its independence from Pakistani rule in 
1971 through a blood-shed liberation war of nine month. I love my 
motherland not only because I born and brought up here but, because it 
its evergreen nature, beauties six season, it’s flowing rivers, its 
verities of birds and so on. </span><span style="font-family: Georgia,serif; font-weight: normal;"></span></span></span></h2>

<span style="font-size: small;"><span>My
 motherland is gifted with very fertile soil. Its fertility is 
maintained as rivers carry alluvium to them. So, plenty of rice, jute, 
sugarcane, potato, tobacco, pulse, oil, seed, vegetable, spices, tea, 
etc are grown here. Our seasonal fruits like is mango, jack fruit, 
litchi, guava, black berry, pineapple, banana, coconut, water melon etc 
are great attraction to the people of home and aboard. Our six season 
appear to is with six different look. Each of them has an identical 
character. Spring is the best of them and termed as king of season. Hot 
and dryness of summer is sub-situated by its sweet and fleshy fruits. 
Coldness of winter is balanced by the date juice and different 
vegetables like Cauliflower, cabbage, tomato, carrot, radish, brinjal, 
bean etc.<br />In autumn the fields look like a vast sheet of gold due to 
the ripe paddy of golden color. The rainy season appears with a 
different attraction. Sometimes it’s rains for days together. The 
fields, canals, tanks and rivers are full of water. The nature looks 
like a vast sheet of silver. Moving around by country boats is of great 
interest in this season. Our water reservoirs are full varieties of 
tasty fishes.<br />We are fortunate that we have several world heritage 
sites. Sundarbans, the only mangrove forest of the world is one of them.
 We have the longest sea beach of 155 Kms at Cox’s Bazar. Our national 
economy is mostly depending upon agriculture. Little development 
occurred here in industrial sector. Due its poor literacy rate national 
progress and development is very slow. Acute unemployment caused us to 
be drowned in corruption, violence and social crime. Even then people of
 different religion live here with peace and harmony. I feel very proud 
when the foreign visitors praise our hospitality.</span></span></div>

<b>Other fruits:</b> There are many other fruits 
such as black berries, plums, wood apples, guavas, lichis, papayas, 
water melons, dates, etc. which are also very well known and popular in 
Bangladesh. Besides these, there are some fruits, which taste sour. Of 
these lemons, star apple, batabi, kamranga, amra, tamarind is notable.</div>

          <u>Introduction:</u>
 A  visit to a zoo is always an interesting and knowledgeable 
experience. A  visit to a zoo gives us an unique opportunity to see and 
know about  different species of animals and wildlife which is otherwise
 impossible  or difficult. Last winter vacation, I had a pleasant 
experience of  visiting the zoo at Mirpur in Dhaka.</div>
<span class="fullpost">           <u>Entrance  into the zoo:</u>
 I reached the zoo gate with some of my friends. There was  a box office
 at the gate of the zoo where entry tickets were being  sold. We bought 
tickets from there. There I saw a large crowd waiting to  enter the zoo.
 However, we managed to enter the zoo quite easily as  everybody queued 
and maintained discipline.</span></div>

          <u>Details of the zoo:</u>
 Entering the into zoo we felt relieved that inside the zoo it was not 
as crowded as it was at the gate. We went to each and every cage one 
after another. We started seeing the animals cage from our right side. 
We saw the monkeys playing and jumping inside their big wired cage. Some
 monkeys were hanging from the iron bar. The activities and movements of
 the monkeys gave us much fun. From there we went to tiger’s cage. The 
fieriest of beasts was hungry and was strolling inside the cage from one
 end to another for food. Then we went to hippopotamus and elephants. 
They were the biggest creatures of the zoo. We also saw hyenas, zebra, 
guerrilla, chimpanzee, wild cow etc.</div>

          <u>The sights of the snakes:</u>
 Next our attention was drawn to the cages of snakes. In a cage, there 
were two big snakes called pythons. They were lying in the ground 
coiling their long bodies. The snakes were very big. They were looking

Other
 animals: The animals that attracted us most was the deer. There were  
deers of different species and sizes. They were running inside the big 
cage. Deer was agile and mild creatures. Then we came to the cage of 
lions. The king of the beasts welcomed us with its terrific howling 
sounds. The lion impressed us with its prowess and majesty. We also saw 
black tigers, leopards, wild cats etc.</div>

          <u>Birds:</u>
 There are variety of birds in the zoo. Many of which I did not see 
before. Birds made different kinds of chirping sounds seeing the 
visitors. Some birds were very big, some were very small. We saw some 
birds which were brought from different countries. We also saw ostrich, 
eagle, wild hen, peacock and many unknown birds. </div>

 From there we went to the crocodiles. They were resting or swimming in 
the ponds. We also saw some other land and aquatic animals and species. I
 had not heard many of their names before. </div>

          <u>The significance/value of the visit:</u>
 I have only read about our animal world in the book. The visit to the 
zoo gave me a first hand experience of seeing them from very close 
distance. I learned about their strange and diverse habits, their queer 
appearances, their food habits, and their life-styles. The visit gave me
 practical knowledge about different birds, animals and wild creatures. 
However, I was impressed and delighted to see the the beasts and 
animals. It was really a wonderful world of unknown mysteries and 
thrill. However, we noticed some mismanagement and irregularities. Some 
animals and beasts are ill-fed. Many of them are not cared well. We also
 saw some empty cages. The inhabitants of there cages have either died 
or disappeared. The zoo was a big area, but there was no canteen or 
snack spot for the visitors. So, we became tired and we had to sit 
several times to complete our visit.</div>

          <u>Conclusion:</u>
 We were happy that we could visit the zoo without any trouble or 
danger. The zoo has a rich collection of wild creatures. It was a 
memorable experience for me. I think every person should pay a visit to a
 zoo to gather knowledge and experience of wildlife.</div>

Modern
 age is the period of wonderful development of science. Man has brought 
the world into his fist by dint of his own effort. One of the unique 
contribution of this period is ‘Internet’. The combined process of 
satellite technology and computer has brought an all pervading 
possibility of human welfare.<br />
The word ‘Internet’ is the 
abbreviation form of ‘International Network’. The networks of all 
networks is the modern success of modern information technology. It can 
collect and send messages, information, and pictures very quickly from 
one corner of the world to another. More than one person can procure 
information by joining a number of terminals with a chief computer. 
Network after network joining together has created a large dimension 
network throughout the world. There is a symbolic meaning of internet. 
It is WWW by which we mean World Wide Web and it is attributed property 
because of its worldwide activities of communication.<br />
The main 
objective behind the invention of Internet is to transmit and receive 
messages quickly. Through internet/E-mail process messages very quickly 
in a  few seconds. It is the cheapest medium of communication. To send a
 letter to America one is to spend twenty to thirty taka whereas through
 E-mail it will cost 0.50 to 2.50 taka only. Its low cost is a threat to
 the use of Fax.<br />
Sitting home a man in Bangladesh can study at any
 library in London. One can sort books of his own accord through 
Internet. Even he can print some pages of a book in the screen of his 
computer. If any man in any country desires, he can read the newspapers 
and magazines etc. setting them in his computer. Job seekers can apply 
to different institutions through internet. He can easily send his 
resume to the defined through a computer on the basis of advertisement. 
Many opportunities can be utilised through internet such as 
communicating with doctors, meeting friends and relatives, giving 
proposal of marriage, shopping, office management, entertainment and 
many other affairs of daily life.<br />
Bangladesh first started using 
Internet in November 1993. Information Services Network (ISN) began 
internet service at Dhaka for the first time. Then came forward the 
Grammen Cybernet with a view to sending IT to the grassroots level. 
Bangladesh T & T Broad has permitted five institutions to set up 
VSATs. Those institutions are REUTER, WORLD BANK MISSION in Dhaka, 
CYTEC, ISN and BEXIMCO. Some universities and newspapers have set upon 
internet services in Bangladesh. Since its inception Internet service 
was limited to E-mail. On-line connection was introduced one 15 June, 
1996. In the year 2002 sixty thousand Internet connections in total were
 given to our country.<br />
Darkness behind light and evil behind good 
is an experienced fact. In the same way some demerits also lurk behind 
the innumerable merits of Internet. This is because the indecency and 
nackedness of the forbidden world of Internet has been leading our young
 generation to the bottomless pit of moral decadence. Blackmailing, 
virus infection and stealing of information caused great harm to the 
users of computers.<br />
In spite of a few demerits Internet connection
 is a must form every country of the present world. But the price of 
computer is beyond the reach of our common people. Bangladesh has ample 
opportunity in Software export and data entry industry in the world 
market. Like garment industry Bangladesh can earn a lots of foreign 
currency through this industry.</div>

 is a land of six seasons. The rainy in one of the them. It comprise the
 Bengli month of Ashar and Sravan. After a long spell of hot weather, 
the rainy season comes with showers to cool the earth. Our economy, 
culture and way of life are loosely related to it. The rainy season is 
caused by monsoon. The south west monsoon that a bole over Bangladesh 
from the Bay of Bengal brings many vapors with it. As a result, there 
occurs heavy rainfall during the monsoon in our country. During the 
rainy season the sky often remains overcast with thick black lauds that 
cover across the sky close to the earths suffers surface. Violent blasts
 of wind blow, lighting, flasher and thunder roar. </span></span><div>

 sun remains hidden behind of the clouds and it rains in torrents. 
Sometimes, there is continuous rain for days together. The low lying 
lands go under water and look like a vast sheet of water. The rainy 
season undoubtedly does must good to us. Name assumes a new appearance 
at the advent of the rainy season. The landscape appears green. The 
rainwater washes away the filth and purifies the surface of the earth. 
It lessons the intense heat of summer. </span></div>

 makes our land alluvial, fertile and suitable for growing better crops.
 The atmosphere becomes clean and free of dust. The rainy season in not 
an unmixed blessing all the times. It has disadvantage too. During the 
season the roads in the countryside become muddy and slippery and as 
such people can not go from one place to other place foot easily. 
Sometimes heavy rainfall overflows the banks of the rivers and causes 
floods, which damage our crops, cattle, houses and properties. But 
whatever the demerits of the rainy season, it is the most important and 
useful season in our country. The prosperity and development of our 
agriculture, which is the heart of our economy largely, depend on the 
mercy of the rainy season. The people of Bangladesh always welcome it 
and like to enjoy its beauty.</span></div>

 good nations’ is the best example of women’s contribution in the 
development of nation country. Except physical strength are not inferior
 to men in any respect. They constitute around half of the total 
population of a country. So, they should be provided equal opportunity 
in all the nations building activities. In Bangladesh women’s 
participation in nation building activities are very poor. It is not 
because of their disinterest, but because of the restrictions imposed 
upon them. In our male dominated society women are not considered to be 
competent enough for performing activities other than house hold 
activities. As a member of the family, society or nation their position 
is far behind the males.</div>

 our country women’s are now participating in varieties of job and thus 
contributing to the national development. More than 90% of garment 
workers are female. A large number of females are working as labor in 
constriction of road, bridge, building etc. They are working in the  
husking mills, weaving factories and in different government and non 
government offices and business farms.  Women’s are working as teacher 
in different educational institutions. They are serving as doctor and 
engineer. They have proved their capability as pilot, in BDP, Police, 
and Army. They are doing well in administration and judiciary. Women are
 working in the glass   root level as social health and family planning 
workers. But yet their participations are not up to the marks. Moreover,
 they are victims of injustice in receiving wages in most cases. 
Sometimes they do not get required co-operation form their male 
colleagues and boss. These of course hamper their productivity.</div>

Since,
 women are responsible for rearing their children; they should be 
knowledge about the appropriate measures of health, hygienic and feeding

will be hampered. As a result our future generation will be less 
productive. So, each and every woman’s should be educated on this issue.</div>

 Eve-teasing is a regular occurrence  in the lives of Bangladeshi women.
 In fact, the entire Indian sub  continental region is afflicted with 
this malaise. Neighboring countries  like Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan 
etc. show similar ratios of  eve-teasing. That indicates a certain kind 
of wrong mindset of men who  harbour no respect for woman’s dignity.</div>

  is a traumatic experience for women. It can leave deep psychological  
scars which can be hard to heal. Eve-teasing has resulted into many  
unfortunate events in the lives of women. Sometimes, it has made parents
  keeping their daughters at home away from school or marrying them off 
 at an early age. Paranoid parents concerned about the safety and honour
  of their daughters can literally ruin their future. Ironically, 
teasing  has dangerous consequences for women and not for men as it can 
deprive  them of their freedom, nutrition and education.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
         
 Most  often the incident of eve-teasing is blamed on the victims, i.e. 
women.  It is as if males have got license to indulge in any sort of 
lecherous  behaviour and can go away with it. The patriarchal nature of 
our society  has not been able to deal with incidents of eve-teasing in 
right  perspective. There have been plenty of instances when women have 
come  out in open sharing their experiences. Different newspapers and 
websites  keep publishing such accounts that reflect feelings of 
disgust, insult  and scare experienced by women. No one can explain the 
truth of  eve-teasing and sexual harassment better than the female who 
gave gone  through it.</div>
          Paradoxically, it is women who 
often blame  themselves for having invited harassment. Instead of 
fighting back, many  women tend to believe that it is their fault which 
caused them such an  indecent behaviour from lecherous males. It 
reflects how deeply  eve-teasing affects women.<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
         
 The  suffers of eve-teasing feel helplessness, anger and frustration at
 not  being able to do anything about the incident. Incidents of 
eve-teasing  can permanently damage the psyche of the victims. It makes 
them  susceptible about anything in life.</div>
         
 In  fine, they find it hard to trust people. They no longer feel 
inclined  to trust their male friends. Sexual harassment or other forms 
of  molestations also impact personal and academic development of women.
 The  experience leaves them bitter and cautions for the rest of their 
lives.</div>
